Anyone may say he trusts God. But how is trust in God really proven? To trust God is to heed His wisdom and teachings. By doing so, one can be certain that god will lead him to the right path he should walk by for him not to stumble and his steps not be hindered. The Lord has made known to man His commandments and instructions to direct him in his undertakings. Hence, he who listens to and abide by God’s words will not fall into misfortune. To trust God is also to depart from evil. It should always be an effort for every person to get rid off with evil deeds such as immorality, drunkenness, unrighteous ways of earning a living, gambling and many others- and to lead a completely renewed life. By this, they are certain of attaining success. On the other hand, a person who refuses God’s knowledge cannot expect His guidance. God clearly declares that He will not listen to the prayer of a person who does not obey him, instead, despises His counsel and rebuke. So, whenever a person feels that God is far from him and does not pay attention to his pleas, he should examine himself- is he obeying the instructions of God? Is he living the right way? If he finds himself in the condition displeasing to the Creator, he should immediately repent and renew his life. God assures safety to a person who listens and trusts Him. A person who desires for the blessings of God should keep up his eagerness in fulfilling His commandments until the end. One should not be lazy, but be patient and believe in God, instead. Thus, negligence in performing one’s duties unto God is no part of his life. If hindrances and trials confront a servant of God, he should endure every trial that shall come. God will never break His promises. He is faithful to His servant who obeys Him and endures until the end. Indeed, in this life, man is full of sorrows. He is beset with various problems. He cries because of the difficulties he goes through. That is why he must endure, because the faithful servant of God who endures until the end shall find rest from his hard work.
